Mother's Day 2008

Ahhh, Mother's Day! If you are like me, sometime you have NO idea what this day will hold! I always try to go into this day with no expectations of what my family might do for me, but make sure that they know it is enough....no matter what it is! Our day started out sweetly with a little breakfast while in the bathroom, of course I never leave enough time to sit down for a meal on a day like today. I have the schedule packed with Church, Flower shopping, Brunch and then a little errand running. We topped the day off with each of the boys planting a mothers day tree....those pictures will be posted later....as today I wanted to be a bit more sentimental (focus on the mental!).... Seriously, when I see these pictures I am astonished at how quickly they grow up. I know it is a cliche' but time really does fly. As many people have said " The days are long, but the years are short." I really feel this resonating with me today. I have an almost 7 and almost 4 year old and I can still remember 1st birthday parties like they happened yesterday. In a very small way I feel like that is God reminding us that life really is short. So on a day like today, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to my mother, to all of my girlfriends who I choose to "DO LIFE" with and who are also raising children. We never knew what we were getting into when we started this motherhood journey, but the fact that we are raising the next generation of doctors, race car drivers, presidents, pastors and fashion models should be enough for us to sleep at night.... Love to my sista's....keep on being moms!!!

Adorable baby pics. I love to sit and look at the kids baby books and relive those times. I am so glad to have gotten into scrapbooking, I can look at those books and relive 12 years ago as if it were yesterday.

Well done my Friend. You deserve a noble prize. What a nice tribute. I remember that picture of Jaxon. I don't think that I ever saw the one of Mason...too cute. The ride of Motherhood is bumpy at times, but never bad enough to get off because there is fun & excitment & those sweet little "I love yous" around every corner. Happy Mother's Day to you too T!
