Puppy Paranoia's

Jaxon and Erik went to a hunting fair this morning with our next door neighbors and 20 minutes into the event my cell phone rings....the conversation goes something like this..."Mom, Hi! I just sent you a text message with a picture..did you look at it? Isn't he soo cute....Can we get a Puppy?" I was praying that this day would never come. Now, please don't take this the wrong way...I love dogs. However, when I envisioned my family with 2 children a puppy was NEVER part of my scenario. I need some blog support here....I need reasons both pro and con of getting a dog or else this battle will be lost by just another adorable face entering my home in a moment of weakness... Here are my reasons to not have a pet:

1. It's another thing that "I" have to take care of.....

2. Vacationing just became a larger nucense than it was before

3. I seriously dispise the poop thing...
I had 2 cocker spaniels before kids and they trashed our yard.

4. Puppy classes, shots, it is almost like another baby right?

5. My visions of Mason riding him across the house while I try to vacuum....

Totally selfish I realize that but I am just not so sure about the whole thing......
HELP! If you read this blog Please let me a comment. I will check them frequently!

DON'T DO IT!!!!! A four-legged, poop producing, hair shedding, slobber monster is that last thing you need. I know, I know, they are cute and all that crap, but seriously, you know it will be YOU doing all the work and YOU comforting your kids with the damn thing gets hit by a car or something. (Can you tell my children will NEVER have a dog...) Good luck with your decision and if you get the furry bugger don't come crying to me over your pooper scooper......

Well, they are cute-as PUPPIES!. If I had to do it over again, I would send our dog to obedience school. A fence is also a must! Also, the bigger the dog, the bigger the poop. Plus,if you travel alot, it adds a few hundred dollars to kennel for a week. Honestly, I would have a third kid-it would be easier!!!!!Don't want to be a hater, but........

You are such a copy cat...I mean ditto dog...LOL This is like dejavu. I just blogged about that. Stealing ideas again...did you give me credit this time? LOL I was gonna go the route on my blog of pros and cons too, but seriously...I already know the answer. Cons win paws down. Don't do it! Your house will smell like dog & there will be hair everywhere, & you will chase that 4 legged thing all over your neighborhood because you have no fence. Let's not forget about all the things you will have to replace because they were teething on the leg of your brand new dining room chair. Certainly you want to keep all your hair. Don't give in. Don't do it! Well, that was my plead, but for sure...do what you want. Don't do it!

I once bought a magnet that said"No outfit is complete without dog hair!" Seriously that is pathetic! That is all I have in my house is dog hair, dog hair, and did I mention dog hair! I love my dog, but seriously they are a big pain in the ?!?!?!!!!!!! Tell Mason to break out the cone, because can you say every hour SWEEP,VACUUM,SWEEP,VACUUM, AND IT IS NEVER ENDING! Good Luck... but don't do it and this is from someone that owns a dog!

Oh my..don't do it!!!!!!!!
It would be 100%..don't be fooled by all and I mean ALL the boys saying they would help out..maybe for a week or 2 they would..then it's all you. I'm pretty sure you have enough on your plate right now..maybe when they are older!

I have put much thought into how I feel about this question and after much contemplation I would say NO.... I just got done cleaning out the litter box YUCK... as if dirty diapers aren't enough. You really have to chose between a clean house and an animal.

BTW, we had a black lab when we lived in Allen Park, he ended up going to Leader Dogs for the Blind in Rochester. We still think about him, his name was Rex. He was way too much work, he got a new home in Bay City.
