Labor Day - Take Time to Smell the Roses

I know, I know, I did not finish posting the pics of the fair. Are you kidding me?
My computer is still downloading them..let alone actually editing them and posting....
Cripes! I should be posting by the end of the year!
We had a great time, gorgeous day *with wind*!

Today, the day before Jaxon starts 2nd grade.
I am ready but I always am a little bit nervous,
I want them to be respectful, and make friends.
That is my prayer today.
That Jaxon will be an example of what a student should look like.

Aside from that...
we took the "Labor" day to complete some much needed laboring projects...
such as finishing school shopping (yes, I waited this long)!

Here are a couple of pics of what we think "Smelling the roses" should look like.

Jaxon's photo was taken at Grandpa Jerry's 80th party with the VIKINGS cheerleaders
...(not my idea). Mason's was also taken there. I love the shot of him.
He looks so sweet....he is REALLY smelling those roses....
nothing better in the summer..ahem .soon to be fall!

So cute! LOOOOOOOHHHHHHOOOOOOVE IT! Jaxon's face is priceless. Kolby would be in heaven, but only if they were blondes. LOL What can I say? My Labor day was that...Labor. Cleaning house, grocery shoping, packing school bags, wrapping presents, laundry, list is endless. I cringe thinking about everything I squeezed in yesterday. Even scrapbooking with Sam & rollerblading with the fam. Long Day!
