Thankful Thursday - Random

Todays Thankful Thursday is Random. So, today I would like to say that I am thankful for quiet time. I must admit that I do not feel like I get enough quiet time but recently, I have begun to make more quiet time for myself by reading the Bible and praying. For me, the best part about quiet time is that I can actually process thoughts. I have 2 small boys (duh) that kind of demand a lot of mine and my husbands time so when we are alone with our thoughts I think it is a blessing.
Now, Think about This on Thankful Thursday...when you are driving in your car, turn off the radio, Do NOT answer the cell phone and just spend a few moments in silence. Even if you are not praying just the quiet is peaceful...
As they say at the movies...Silence is Golden!

I agree! Quiet time is SSSOOOO rare for me. That's why I make it a point to get up super early in the mornings...before anyone else is stirring. It is so amazingly peaceful!

I love driving home from work with no sound. I have little time to talk on the ohone so I ususlly use that time for conversations, but recently I have been riding in silence more and more.

I am in the middle of reading a book about Mr. Rogers. Silence was something he tried to instill in his life and he encouraged others to do the same. I am trying to teach this concept to my son. Right now he is doing schoolwork and he is constantly making noise. Needless to say I enjoy silence when I can get it. Take care, my friend!

As a Mom of seven - you have no idea how good silence is to my ears. I love every minute of their laughter and even calling my name a thousands time - but the 5am time with God ahhhh - the drive to the grocery store - ahhhh - off to bed - ahhhh! So thankful for those moments.

I'm so glad you have found ways to get more for yourself!

In His amazing grace,
Jill

Quiet time. Something we all need and something we should be oh so thankful for when we get it.

Yes, you are so right. We desperately need that time alone with the Lord, and time in His word. I always feel so much better, and at peace.

Blessings to you this TT♥
