Am I Ready?

FOR SUMMER TO BE OVER????

Why do kids have to get bigger? Sometimes I wish there was a wand that would allow you to wave it and they could stay just the way they are...I love the ages that my boys are right now and yet some days I still feel like I am taking them for granted...passing them in the hallway of the house without picking them up and squeezing to say "I Love You".

Perfect example: Receiver at the park last night..he says "Mom, can you put me on the Hangeroni"? I say "What is the Hangeroni"?

He says "That thing"....

Guess we all know where I get my word verifications...they are coming straight from my 5 year old!!! And, didn't you all know that was the HANGERONI anyways?

*BONUS* since we got the puppy, I have had a great helper. The dog even respects him and listens to his commands. I'm pretty proud of my oldest dude stepping up to the plate (and yes, I can even get him to pick up poop every once in a while)

Fatherhood here he comes... I know that I have been absent in the comment world. I just have been feeling like I only have a couple of weeks left before they go back to school and we get into the routine of sports, and school so I am enjoying my free time with the boys. I will be back soon and I won't take it personally if you don't comment.

I know you all love me (LOL)!!!!

Here are a couple of pics from yesterday...

Just feeling the need to capture a little more of SUMMER!

I just loved this post Tarah! Really, really loved it. Especially loved the hangeroni. And I love that you were at the park with your quarterbacks. Doesn't the time go by so quickly. It breaks my heart sometimes. Hope you can enjoy the last few weeks of summer with your babies : )

We just went to see Imagine That at the dollar show! The message is about spending time with your kids and listening to them! Awesome movie! Anyway, I cried(of cours), and my 7 year old says."Mom can you and dad still do monkey to me?"Great post!

What an adorable picture of him with the puppy!

I am like you and would love for them to stay right where they are now..minus the talking back and attitudes every once in a while but I am ready for school to start. I'm ready to have my two little babies together for alittle one on one time and to do some things with them individually.

I don't take it personally when people don't comment! It is summer and people should rightfully be stepping out from behind their computers and having tons of fun with the kiddos! Enjoy the last couple of weeks withyour boys before school starts!!!

Oh my gosh, I cracked up at the "Fatherhood here he comes" line!! LOLOLOL!!

What a big boy for helping w/ the puppy!! Our kids have been like that too. Once in awhile they'll complain why they have to pick up the poo. I told them that I had to wipe all their butts, and now I'm done!!

Creepy?! No… you are so not creepy! I “stalk blog” ALL the time! Plus, I love new followers. Thank you so much for your sweet comment! As I age… I like it more and more, but… I still get every pronunciation out there… that gets old! It was worse when I worked in customer service! :)

These are really cute pictures by the way!

You spend all the time you need with those precious boys of yours...I definitely get it!

I'm so glad Mimi sent you to my blog today. I need more blogs, more anything really, with faith in my life right now. I'm now a follower.

As far as your boys, you will never be ready. My oldest will be 18 in March & it's a shocking, painful, proud time for a mom. I have no idea how he got to be 17 & over 6 feet tall. My youngest (also a boy) is 14 & he has grown 3 inches in 2 months and is now taller than me.

I must also say that your family has the most gorgeous blue eyes I have ever seen!

Cute pictured, super cute boys. I took a little extra time for some play dates with my kiddos before the summer is over too. I agree, their ages are perfect I want them to just be little forever.

Have a fun weekend!

Great post...there are so many times I think the same thing!! I think that is why I take so many stinkin' picutres, which yours are great BTW!!! Summer is over for us, kinda why I have been MIA for the last few days! (even on FB, gasp!) Football started last week and school starts Monday *sigh* where did my summer go?

Ugh, I HATE August. Almost as much as I hate Sunday nights. That pit in my stomach as school is just around the corner. I guess that's the life of a teacher! So, NO, I'm not ready for summer to end. And I'm not ready for Aidan to stop wobbling when he walks and become a real BIG BOY. I want a pause button too!!

I've been a total comment slacker, so I know how you feel. : )

I am with you. I hate for summer to end and I hate that they have to grow up so blasted fast. We miss you but enjoy the time you have... we aren't growing up anymore, ya know!

Sounds like you are doing the mom thing...Lovin' on those kiddo's!! That is more important than blogging, and we may not want to admit it or say it out loud.

You know what's best! Have a fun time with your family. I loved the pictures and the use of "Hangeroni" was precious.

Take care,
Nannette
