QB the Flanker....

What an eventful week we've got going on over here. On Tuesday night, after his 1st day of school, QB had his 1st football scrimmage. This is his 1st year playing tackle football (and mom is not super thrilled about it). Is it possible to feel like my kids are safer on the ice then they are on the football field?
I think it is because in hockey, you only get smashed up against the boards if you have the puck...in football, your getting tackled or giving a tackle either way. More risk for injury? Yes, I think so!!! ;)
Our football team is the Blaine Wildcats! GRRRR.
QB is one of the smallest on the team and his position is Flanker....never heard of it until my son my became one. Then, I did a little research and YES it is a legitimate football term. Initially, it sounded like a word verification if ever I heard one!
He 2 great tackles and a fumble recovery.
He was a little dissapointed that he did not get to carry the ball but we have only just begun!!! ;)

Wow...they all look too little to be playing football.I'm sure Cooper would be a flanker too!Jaxon looks like a tough guy with all his gear on.
Yes, we had a nice time at the lake.Totally spur of the moment-I had just put all the beach towels in the basement and pool toys away--now it looks like it's going to be summery all week.Good for you for detailing your cars?/Any luck on a new one???

Wow! The sports season has officially kicked in :)

I wish him a great season also!

Oh mama! How so you do 2 of these kind of activities at once? I thought scouts and swim team stretched momma's taxi, but all of those practices and games must cause transportation challenges at times!

Flanker? Hmmmmm....I've never heard of that one either. He looks like a pro already. Good luck to him and you too! I'm sure he'll be fine. I'd probably feel the same way though.

And Receiver looks so cute in his hockey gear too!

Oh, my....you are gearing up for one busy season! I remember when we would have crossover times with two different sports, when a new one would begin before the other one ended. With boys in two different age groups, it kept me and my hubby running in different directions all the time. Sounds like you will be running ragged, too. Be sure to take your vitamins! ;-)
