My "Dogs" are Barking!!!

It is with extreme happiness and out and out joy that I am pleased to announce the "Club West Neighborhood Garage Sale" has come to an end......Several weeks of pricing items until 1-2am and then back up with the kids at 7....(OK, really sometimes it is 9:30)! It has really paid off.

5 households with baby gear, lawn equipment, furniture, DVDs, Strollers, and more CLOTHES than the average Target or Macy's store....My house feels lighter and my wallet feels fatter...how often can we actually say that!!!

Take a gander and what my dogs look like after 3 straight days on my feet, with barely enough time in between shoppers to go to the bathroom. I am swollen like crazy....My dogs look like snausages (remember that commercial???) I am going to bed, I can barely even tolerate my body, let alone my wandering brain.

PS....I made enough money to feel like I am in the Mob!!! I am already pricing stuff for next year!
Can someone say Pedicure....that is almost too embarrassing!

Till Next Blog.....

The Aftermath

Our neighborhood was hit rather decently with what F-1 Tornado on Sunday 5/25. There were grills flying and garbage cans thrown about, enough patio furniture in my back yard to start my own store. Luckily, everyone was safely in the basement. We ventured out after everything was over and one of our good friends house had this lovely little 2x4 sticking through the side of their house. The garage side was blown out of the home next to them so that is where it came from.
Good thing no one was sitting on the formal living room sofa or they could have had this baby stuck to their forehead!
Like I said, we were mildly hit compared to the neighborhood about 10-15 minutes away. That neighborhood is plowed. I just felt like I needed to get a picture posted so that people could take a gander.

Again, blessings were poured our home as we had no significant damage. We are truly blessed!

Enjoy!

Check out my Slide Show!

If you have seen these on any other blogs than you will know how easy it is. I went to www.slide.com and added a couple of cute pics to scroll through.
You may also notice the Round Ball to the right which is counting where my visitors come from! I am excited about this because up until now, I have no idea who looks at this thing! I downloaded the counter from www.neoworx.net and this is the neatest little TRIAL thing. It costs money after 30 days but it might be worth it!

Fenn Family Car Wash

Ever have one of those days where your whole family sleeps in until 10:30? Yeah...that was us today. I have to say it has taken 4 long years of parenting to finally get a small pay off like that one....there is (1) down side....you wake up and it is almost lunch time!!!

Today was a day to get things cleaned, organizes and no one in the family was exempt. Mason even helped dad vacuum out the cars and wash them...I love when they think chores are cool!

A family day that was filled with Mom on the inside and boys on the out...just the way I have been dreaming about =)

Stopped me Dead in My Tracks

There are some things in life that I just do not pay enough attention to.....take a look at the pictures and you will see what I mean. Now, I am not normally this sappy kind of person, but to me I never understand how the most beautiful flowers created, how the sky gets to be sooo blue, how leaves change colors and create an aroma that is of the season. Amazing. These tulips stopped me dead in my tracks, I was on my way to Starbucks this morning (HA HA) and low and behold....I pulled the car over and started snapping. Needless to say, these are only a couple of what I got but I just had to share...remember these flowers when you are having a bad day...the colors just make me want to Dance....good thing I am not into web cams like I am bloggin!!!

A Creative Frenzy

So, did any of you think that I fell off the blog wagon??? No, I have been feverishly getting items ready for our neighborhood garage sale that is next weekend. I have many items but something I am trying to get a feel for is the frames that I have been making. I have made them for gifts and had 2 people ask me to make them for others! I am making a couple of sample frames to have out at the Garage Sale to see if there is additional interest. I do not want to pay for a craft table or booth until I get a feel for what they might sell for (if they will even sell at all)!

Here are a couple of samples that I made last night. I am missing some of my adhesive so, the words are not sticking quite as well, I will have to fix that!

Post a comment if you look at this blog and tell me what you think.....Again, I am just starting this!

Thanks for looking!

Menahga Visit

Greeting from Up North Minnesota! I have not blogged for a couple of days as we decided to take a short trip to Menahga to visit my mom and dad. I will have some really cute pics to post because we stopped at this great barn for a few shots...I am really digging the photography thing! It was windy and a little cool. The boys enjoyed golfing! Mom and I enjoyed a NAP!

More soon.

And its gone.....

I'm glad that I am bloggin this tonight and not last night when this happened...I was soooo angry and ticked off because Erik's car was broken into at a Church softball game of all places...He had to park far away from the field and accidentally forgot the laptop bag was in the back seat. Of course, his laptop, glasses and watch were in the bag. Thank goodness for insurance. We should have it replaced by the end of next week but in the meantime, this was not a day to mess with me. I was just in one of those...what's wrong with the world moods...

More happy times tomorrow...in the grand scheme of things this is no big deal. I realize that now....after heavy medication and a long bike ride!

A Man w/ Many Talents!

Yet another brag session for me!!! I was under the weather big time this weekend with a double ear infection and strep throat as it turns out which means that on Monday Night, I missed Jaxon's 1st Baseball game...I mean the official one, no tee, real batting gloves, and you guessed it a boy that likes quote stats like he's rain man. I promised I would make it up to him by being there tonight and taking ROCK STAR pictures of him like this one stopping on 2nd for a double play....(even though you can only get 1 base at a time, the coach did not have the heart to tell him)! He pays attention, tonight he was 2 for 2, with 3 sliders and gave 2 outs to the other team!! Way to go Jaxon! Mom, Dad and Mason could not be more proud!!!

Curious Mason....Another Tale of Tarah's Clean Up

Man, I just can not seem to stop wondering when my youngest son will have his curiosity cured....this is a mild one, compared to some of them but come on!!! I was on the phone, he was going potty, must have got distracted because then, he comes downstairs with a handful of these babies....YIKES, I can not believe that I am blogging this! Good thing not too many people take a gander at this, I can only imagine what would have happened if I left him alone for longer than 10 minutes! PS...where the heck are his glasses???? Serious embarrassment for that graduation collage!

Mother's Day 2008

Ahhh, Mother's Day! If you are like me, sometime you have NO idea what this day will hold! I always try to go into this day with no expectations of what my family might do for me, but make sure that they know it is enough....no matter what it is! Our day started out sweetly with a little breakfast while in the bathroom, of course I never leave enough time to sit down for a meal on a day like today. I have the schedule packed with Church, Flower shopping, Brunch and then a little errand running. We topped the day off with each of the boys planting a mothers day tree....those pictures will be posted later....as today I wanted to be a bit more sentimental (focus on the mental!).... Seriously, when I see these pictures I am astonished at how quickly they grow up. I know it is a cliche' but time really does fly. As many people have said " The days are long, but the years are short." I really feel this resonating with me today. I have an almost 7 and almost 4 year old and I can still remember 1st birthday parties like they happened yesterday. In a very small way I feel like that is God reminding us that life really is short. So on a day like today, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to my mother, to all of my girlfriends who I choose to "DO LIFE" with and who are also raising children. We never knew what we were getting into when we started this motherhood journey, but the fact that we are raising the next generation of doctors, race car drivers, presidents, pastors and fashion models should be enough for us to sleep at night.... Love to my sista's....keep on being moms!!!

Not Quite Ready for This...

I came across some old photos while cleaning out my computer. I took this picture in the mall parking lot by my house....this picture was not enhanced except for the border....do you believe that? It does not seem real, although I am ready for spring and summer weather...I long for the days when the trees look like this....it is mesmerizing!!!

Gunny Sack Races

We had a little reschedule as a Birthday we were scheduled to attend on Saturday got changed to Sunday to ensure better weather...that it was! It was georgeous and sunny, and around 68 degrees...around here that is a virtual heat wave!

I took it upon myself to take a bunch of pictures of the birthday girl and all the festivities! There was a canival of plenty. Jumpy castle, Cotton Candy, Gunny Sack Race, and Best of all the

HUGE LOLLIPOP!

The picture taken is with one of Mason's friends in our neighborhood. His name is Ethan and he is a doll. I just love catching little memories like this one...

hopefully they will be good friends when they grow up!

No Cavities!!!!

I must admit I have been procrastinating a little about Mason's trip to the dentist. I was sooo PROUD of him. Not only for not having any cavities (a sheer miracle if you ask me) but also for his big boy behavior. He kept asking Lisa the hygenist why she worked inside peoples mouths. He also said that was really "gross" so that means he must not want to be a dentist when he gets older! CONGRATS ON A GREAT VISIT MASON....They will see him again in 6 months

(I promise)!
