Have you ever opened up a cupboard and stuff just falls on you???? Sometimes that is all it takes to start the "organization war" again. That is what inspired me today to get a couple of those "hidden" areas of my home back under control.
My children bring home some adorable art from school as well as ocassionally (and by occasionally, I mean on a very very rare occasion) I will make a project with them. Jaxon is now 7 and Mason is 4...this means we have some serious space issues in the art department. A great idea that one of my girlfriends does...takes a picture of the art, then she does not keep the original!!! I have implemented that for most things now however, there are some items from a long time ago that I just can't part with. So today was the day that I bought bins...and a paint pen. Walla~
PS....the spice rack shelf and the bins came from a store called Storables...MiMi, do NOT go in there....Rick Ramsey will kill you...seriously, the absolute coolest stuff...even if you think you are organized! www.storables.com
3 CHEERS from the Crowd!:
Totally jealous that your spice shelf looks so good! Also, I am so going to check that place out. Rick Ramsey will totally understand if I go on an organizational spending spree. LOL I have heard about taking pictures of their art work too. I have done that before, & then I still keep it. What the Heck?
Love the art bucket idea! I have mine in a drawer in my china cabinet? I will be stealing this idea......
Just another idea for you savvy moms...they sell a keepsake portfolio at www.ttgo.com and their name can go on it and there is different slots for different years of their artwork. Also, at lillian vernon they sell this cool cardboard school days box with cardboard drawers and I labeled each drawer kindergarden, first, second, etc for things like report cards, special things from each grade, school memories, pictures etc. Plus you just keep one of the drawers out and all year throw whatever you want in them! So cool! Thanks for the tip junkie site!
